The practice of using softwares & technologies to automate various marketing efforts.

Marketers can automate various activities, such as email marketing, ad campaigns, social media posts, CRM strategies, etc. They can also create a personalised marketing workflow for each customer. So, different automated messages would be triggered based on the customers actions.

For example, an email about an upcoming sale is sent to customers. Now, people who open this email would get a follow-up email with product recommendations. But people who don’t open this email would get another reminder email about the sale.

Marketing automates optimises both time & effort. It helps you track a consumer’s journey with your brand & send them relevant messages at relevant times.
