Share of Voice (SOV)

It’s a metric used to assess a brand’s visibility or presence in a particular market or industry relative to its competitors. SOV represents the percentage of total exposure or conversation within a specific context that a brand occupies.

For example, in social media, SOV might be calculated as the percentage of total mentions or engagement that a brand receives compared to its competitors in a given period.

It provides insights into a brand’s relative presence & influence within a market, helping businesses understand their competitive position & track changes over time.
