Tracking Code

« Back to Glossary Index

It’s a snippet of code embedded into a website or digital asset that collects data about user interactions & behavior. This code sends information to analytics platforms, allowing businesses to track & analyze how people interact with their website, ads, emails, or other digital content.

For example, a website might use Google Analytics tracking code to collect data about user visits, traffic sources & website performance. Similarly, an email marketing campaign might include tracking codes to monitor open rates, click-through rates & conversions.
